About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Night Shift Supervisor with a strong background in sawmill operations to oversee and manage our night shift production team. The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience and in-depth knowledge of sawmill processes, safety protocols, and equipment operation. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations during overnight hours.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (sawmill experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of sawmill equipment and operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work overnight hours and in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead night shift employees to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
• Oversee daily sawmill operations including machine operation, material handling, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures; enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and efficiency, making real-time decisions to resolve issues.
• Train, coach, and evaluate employees to improve performance and promote a positive team environment.
• Communicate effectively with day shift supervisors and management to ensure continuity and consistency between shifts.
• Prepare shift reports, track production data, and report any incidents or equipment issues.
