About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Sawmill Resaw Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain resawing machinery, ensuring the efficient processing of lumber while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating resaw or similar machinery preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to lift heavy materials
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate resaw machinery to cut lumber to specified dimensions.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on resaw equipment.
• Inspect cut lumber for defects and quality assurance, making adjustments to machinery as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
• Keep accurate records of production output and material usage.
