Position Summary The Night Crew Manager is responsible for overseeing overnight store operations, ensuring shelves are stocked efficiently, inventory is handled accurately, and the store is prepared for the next business day. This role leads the night crew, maintains productivity and safety standards, and supports overall store readiness and execution. Key Responsibilities Overnight Operations Manage and direct all overnight stocking and recovery activities Ensure timely and accurate stocking of freight, displays, and seasonal merchandise Coordinate workflow to meet completion targets and store readiness standards Verify proper rotation, presentation, and condition of product throughout the store Communicate with store leadership regarding overnight execution and issues Inventory & Freight Oversee unloading, sorting, and stocking of deliveries Ensure inventory is handled, stored, and stocked according to company procedures Monitor shrink, damages, and proper disposal practices Support inventory accuracy and backroom organization Team Leadership & Scheduling Supervise, train, and develop night crew associates Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor performance throughout the shift Maintain productivity, accountability, and morale within the team Complete scheduling, timekeeping, and performance documentation as needed Store Readiness & Standards Ensure aisles, end caps, and displays are clean, stocked, and customer‑ready Enforce store safety, cleanliness, and equipment standards Address hazards, spills, and maintenance issues immediately Ensure compliance with company policies and overnight operating procedures Safety & Compliance Promote a safe work environment through proper lifting, equipment use, and training Ensure adherence to workplace safety and loss prevention practices Maintain secure store operations during overnight hours Qualifications Previous retail, grocery, or overnight leadership experience preferred Strong ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Effective communication, organization, and time‑management skills Ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical work Willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays Core Competencies Leadership and accountability Operational execution Time management and productivity Safety awareness Team development
