The Night Crew Manager is responsible for leading overnight operations to ensure the store is fully stocked, organized, and ready for business each day. This role oversees night crew associates, drives productivity, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures company standards for safety, merchandising, and cleanliness are consistently met. Pay Transparency: Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Dependent on length of service, hours worked, any applicable collective bargaining agreement and/or Company policy, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay, paid holidays, bereavement pay and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).  Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.   For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift, move, and stock merchandise within company guidelines
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced overnight environment
  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Previous grocery, stocking, or retail management experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all overnight stocking and recovery operations
  • Ensure timely completion of freight breakdown, stocking, facing, and backroom organization
  • Maintain accurate product rotation and proper handling using FIFO standards
  • Ensure shelves, displays, and promotions are set according to company planograms
  • Monitor productivity and adjust task assignments to meet nightly workload expectations
  • Partner with store leadership to support inventory accuracy and in‑stock conditions
  • Identify and address safety, maintenance, and operational issues overnight
  • Ensure store readiness for opening, including cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Supervise, train, coach, and schedule night crew associates
  • Set clear expectations for performance, accountability, and teamwork
  • Lead by example with strong work ethic, organization, and attention to detail
  • Support onboarding and development of new night crew associates
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and stocking procedures
  • Promote safe equipment use, including pallet jacks, carts, and ladders
  • Support shrink reduction through accurate stocking, storage, and backroom controls
  • Complete required documentation and reports accurately
