About The Position

My Place Hotel is hiring a dependable Night Auditor to run the front desk overnight and complete the nightly audit paperwork that keeps hotel operations accurate and secure. This position is the overnight problem-solver and information hub-supporting late arrivals, handling guest requests, keeping records organized, and completing the audit checklist before the morning shift arrives. The role involves managing reservations, check-ins, and check-outs during the night shift while maintaining accurate guest folios. This includes ensuring charges are posted correctly for room/taxes, My Store purchases, and any applicable pet fees in line with policy. The Night Auditor will also serve as a reliable resource for guests by answering questions about the hotel, amenities, and the surrounding area. When concerns or complaints arise, the auditor will respond professionally and document issues for follow-up when needed. A key part of the role is completing the night audit paperwork and keeping communication logs accurate, maintaining the Night Audit Checklist, and keeping required documentation organized, including cash and call logs. The position also involves updating the Front Desk Log consistently and reviewing notes from prior shifts. During the shift, the Night Auditor will complete laundry and help keep workspaces guest-ready by completing light cleaning and organizational tasks. Overnight team members also play a significant role in hotel safety by following security procedures, performing regular property checks, and documenting any unusual activity or hazards, as well as checking exterior lighting and reporting problems.

Requirements

  • Help keep workspaces guest-ready by completing light cleaning and organizational tasks (tidying and stocking the front desk/lobby area, vacuuming or dusting as needed).
  • Follow security procedures.
  • Perform regular property checks (floors, stairwells, exterior doors).
  • Document any unusual activity or hazards.
  • Check exterior lighting and report problems.
