About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for supporting Universal Kids Resort’s hotel overnight operations while ensuring a smooth transition between business days. This role balances and audits the day’s financial transactions, prepares daily reports, and supports late-night Guest needs with professionalism and care. As the Front Office overnight point of contact, the Night Auditor maintains safety, security, and a welcoming atmosphere for families and Guests during overnight hours.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of hotel front office procedures, financial auditing processes, and the Opera Property Management System (PMS).
  • Ability to work independently overnight, multitask under minimal supervision, and respond to guest needs with professionalism and care.
  • Experience in hotel front desk operations or night audit roles, preferably in a family-friendly or resort environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and guest satisfaction.
  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 3+ months of hotel front desk or night audit experience is required, experiencing using Opera Property Management System (PMS) is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately balances and audits all hotel revenue and transactions from the day using the Opera Property Management System (PMS) following all established standards and procedures.
  • Works independently with little supervision and communicates and documents any significant issues or Guest concerns within the Front Office team to ensure continuity of service.
  • Prepares, compiles, and distributes daily financial and operational reports and audits including occupancy, revenue, arrivals/departures, etc., for hotel leadership review and Guest inquiries.
  • Assists with express check-out folios for Guests as requested.
  • Provides late-night front office operations support including check-ins, check-outs, and responding to Guest needs or emergencies with professionalism and care.
  • Assists with Lost & Found Program and returning of items as directed.
  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of Guest accounts, correcting discrepancies and processing adjustments as needed in partnership with Front Office Management and Finance.
  • Monitors lobby and front desk areas to maintain a safe and secure environment during overnight hours. Escalates issues to Overnight Manager on Duty for Guest needs, security concerns or emergencies.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
