Night Auditor - Margaritaville Beach Resort Fort Myers Beach, Florida Fins up! Margaritaville is seeking an extraordinary individual as a Night Auditor responsible for verifying the postings and calculations of other associates, preparing summary reports. Additionally, this candidate would be relied on to provide guest services and general hotel operations as needed.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • One-year of experience as Front Office/Night Auditor is preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written and technical skills.
  • Ability to function under pressure and prioritize assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Count tills and banks, adjusting as needed to ensure accuracy in cash handling.
  • Balance reports to daily records and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Review and maintain house accounts, attaching backup documentation and ensuring accurate balances.
  • Balance various accounts, such as daily restaurant sales and miscellaneous postings, to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Review credit card accounts and ensure all charges are posted correctly.
  • Run night audit reports nightly to close out daily transactions and prepare for the next day's operations.
  • Answer phones and respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
  • Make reservations as necessary, maintaining a working knowledge of rate structure and marketing programs to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Check in and check out guests as needed, providing efficient and friendly service.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of available rooms and housekeeping status to facilitate room assignments and guest accommodations.
  • Function as a Guest Services Representative, assisting guests with inquiries, requests, and resolving any issues or concerns they may have.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues, conveying information clearly and professionally.
  • Print lists of guests in-house, reservations for guests who have not yet arrived, available unoccupied rooms, and housekeeping reports to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Monitor reports and make decisions regarding room assignments and selling reserved rooms to optimize hotel occupancy.
  • Review and print phone account reports daily to track guest charges and ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct the night audit process, including reconciling accounts, closing out the day's transactions, and preparing reports for management review.
  • Communicate any issues, concerns, complaints, compliments, or suggestions to management promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and resolve any operational challenges effectively.
