About The Position

SERVES AS THE HOTEL MANAGER ON DUTY AND OVERSEES ALL HOTEL OPERATIONS, ENSURING THAT THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF HOSPITALITY AND SERVICE ARE PROVIDED DURING THE OVERNIGHT SHIFT. REPRESENTS HOTEL MANAGEMENT IN RESOLVING ANY GUEST OR HOTEL-RELATED SITUATION. PERSONALLY ASSISTS IN RESOLVING ANY ISSUES AND COMPLETING TASKS.

Responsibilities

To know your product, be accountable for all S.O.P.’s and the latest update in accordance to JW Marriott Standards.
Report to work on time and in uniform (including nametag).
To provide leadership and direction to all associates.
To know all the night audit responsibilities.
Ensure all checklists and shift work is completed.
Adheres to proper cash handling procedures and the check cashing policy.
Know procedures in the event of a fire alarm, bomb threat, guest medical emergency and employee medical emergency.
Maintain a backup of critical systems, maintaining a 7-day rotation, ensuring that all backup tapes are maintained in a safe place.
Check on supplies when needed, notify Night Manager for any items to purchase.
Maintain open relationships and communication with all departments.
Maintain productivity levels and ensure to maximize hotel revenue.
Report all malfunctions to your superior and document the problem.
Ability to handle all guest situations as they occur.
Assist in the training and implementation of existing and new applications.
Be familiar with group resumes, routing procedures and all information in group files.
To understand the basic functions of MARSHA and how reservations are booked.
Exercise and understand the purpose of empowerment.
All auditors are expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management, which the associate is capable of performing.
