About The Position

Energy Transfer is seeking an NGL Rail Scheduler who will be responsible for optimizing the daily demands for ET internal and external customers while considering the availability of contract supply at various production facilities. Make daily scheduling decisions to assure prompt product delivery with minimal outages or delays. Provide special project analysis when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years work experience scheduling railcars and/or trucks
  • Rail / Petroleum industry experience a plus.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Excel required, SAP and RightAngle a plus).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to independently establish priorities.
  • Must be detailed oriented and possess leadership skills, a strong customer focus, and be team oriented.
  • Must be extremely flexible and able to adapt quickly to changes resulting from an ever-changing logistical environment.
  • The Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 6 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with experience in dealing with complex logistical movements involving rail transportation in the petroleum industry.
  • Minimum 6 years business experience with transportation or logistics industry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all BOLs and COAs are properly entered into various systems to ensure efficient rail offloading at Marcus Hook Terminal, PA
  • Allocate railcars to correct contracts
  • Enter rail nominations in SAP
  • Enter each car into Transloading System
  • Work with railroads, truck schedulers, and distribution terminals to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of NGL products.
  • Communicate daily with external customer base for changes to delivery schedules.
  • Work with ET Compliance personnel to ensure that all railcars meet the EPA requirements for certified butane
  • Work with ET accounting group to ensure that all loads are properly authorized, documented, and processed in a timely fashion.
  • Review and approve invoices in SAP.
  • Work with ET operations team when needed for special delivery requirements or other operational functions requiring transportation assets.
  • Work closely with management team to carry out the overall supply and transportation plan for NGL transportation services.
  • MUST BE available 24/7 via phone, text, and email during peak season mid-September through April and any other period when transportation scheduling is required.
