About The Position

The NG911 Cyber Security Tools Implementation Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting cybersecurity solutions for a Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) environment. This role focuses on securing critical public safety infrastructure through the deployment and integration of network security, monitoring, and access control technologies in a large enterprise data center environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience designing, planning, and implementing network and security infrastructure in large enterprise or data center environments, preferably supporting public safety systems
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience integrating IBM QRadar SIEM with security platforms such as Cascade, FireMon, Citrix, and other critical security technologies
• Experience migrating DNS services to new platforms
• Experience designing and implementing DMZ architectures , including threat monitoring and external security controls
• Strong experience implementing perimeter security solutions, including Next Generation Firewalls
• Active CISSP or equivalent industry-recognized cybersecurity certification

Nice To Haves

• Additional hands-on experience with IBM QRadar SIEM integrations and advanced security service technologies
• Experience working with enterprise security monitoring, logging, and threat detection solutions
• Strong understanding of network security best practices in high-availability and mission-critical environments
• Additional cybersecurity certifications beyond CISSP are a plus

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure cybersecurity solutions for DNS, email, and remote access services
• Integrate, configure, and monitor security tools to ensure performance, availability, and threat detection
• Test and support next-generation firewall platforms, host operating systems, and applications such as LDAP and SMTP
• Provide support for application development and database administration from a security integration perspective
• Deploy and maintain appropriate network and perimeter security solutions
• Participate in the design, implementation, and monitoring of DMZ architectures to protect against external threats
• Support enterprise security infrastructure for critical systems and services
• Perform security performance monitoring and assist with incident response as needed
