About The Position

The NFP RN-Ambulatory Supervisor reflects IU Health’s mission, vision, and values, adhering to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance. This role is accountable for providing and coordinating competent, evidence-based care across the outpatient setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The supervisor supervises a multidisciplinary team of maternal-child home-visiting nurses across six counties, supporting 200 families with children from early pregnancy to age two. Provides staff coaching and operational oversight, manages program budgets and contracts, ensures compliance with grant requirements and promotes the Nurse-Family Partnership model within the community.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per department policies.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of procedures and equipment relevant to outpatient care.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple functions efficiently for a group of patients.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory implications of nursing practice.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred.
