NF Equipment Operator
About The Position
This position identifies and receives inbound used metals to be recycled from the general public. This process is done by weighing material, inputting the correct commodity code into the system and then putting the material in its proper location. Because we are the start of the recycling process, the environment is dusty, dirty and subject to the weather. Normal Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Alter Company is looking to add to its team in Madison, WI. Alter Trading Corporation is a 125+ year old company, with 70+ metal recycling facilities throughout the Midwest and Southern region. Requirements
- Forklift Experience, required
Nice To Haves
- Customer Service Experience, preferred
- Previous Warehouse Experience, preferred
- Previous Metal Scrap Experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide great customer service at our retail scale by providing prompt service, weighing material and properly inspecting & identifying material.
- Correctly enter customer and product information into our system.
- Complete and process customer’s transaction to issue appropriate payment
- Learn and operate machines (forklift, balers, etc.) to help with the recycling process.
- Work in a warehouse type environment subject to the elements.
- Performs other duties as assigned
