The purpose of the Next Gen Family Discipleship Minister is to serve as the leader and champion of the Next Gen purpose, vision, and strategy in Kids and Student Ministry at the Dallas Campus of The Hills Church. Overall Responsibility Spirit Alignment - Prayerfully and humbly listen to the Holy Spirit with an obedient posture, in order to cooperate with the move of God in the next generation, seeking alignment and unity in common vision, values, strategy, and language (with the Global NextGen Team). Deep Discipleship - Disciple the next generation to encounter God through worship, the word, wonders, and the development of a Christ-centered worldview leading to a resilient walk with Jesus Mission Mobilization - Mobilize the next generation to discover and participate in the mission of God at every stage, instilling in them a sense of passion and purpose as witnesses to the world who pray, give, and go. Family Engagement - Equip and partner with all families in every circumstance to firmly establish a God-given sense of identity in the next generation Community Elevation - Organize Next Gen ministry around small groups of intergenerational relationships to give the next generation a sense of belonging as part of a life-giving faith community by equipping and activating leader Leadership & Operational Responsibilities Programming and Master Calendar – Collaborate with the Dallas Campus Minister and Global Next Gen Ministry Leaders (Kids and Students) to establish and maintain a campus master calendar representing all Next Gen programming. Consistent Meetings – Meet regularly with campus leadership and Global Next Gen leadership to ensure alignment around shared strategy, goals, and outcomes. Synchronized Team – Foster cooperation and collaboration across all ministries at the Dallas Campus by working closely with ministry leaders and staff. Team Development & Personal Growth – Cultivate a healthy ministry culture that encourages every Next Gen staff member and ministry leader to pursue personal, spiritual, and relational growth. Ministry Goals and Wins – Establish clear, measurable goals and ministry “wins” for all Next Gen programs and leaders, ensuring alignment with discipleship outcomes. Strategic Programs – Regularly assess how Next Gen programs function as intentional steps toward spiritual formation, relational connection, and missional engagement. Consistent Evaluation – Continuously evaluate the overall effectiveness and health of Next Gen ministry at the Dallas Campus and adjust strategy as needed. Additional Campus Ministry Responsibilities – As part of a multi-site team, serve as a collaborative ministry teammate by assisting with pastoral care responsibilities such as crisis response, hospital visits, and other ministerial duties as needed.
