The Oregonian/OregonLive is hiring a Newsroom Intern through the Charles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism. This program is open to undergraduate and graduate students at all Oregon colleges and universities who have completed a college-level reporting course and/or gained experience with a campus or community news publication. Interns will work in an award-winning newsroom, contributing to fast-paced breaking news reports and having the opportunity to work on impactful and enterprising projects under the guidance of skilled and experienced editors. Internships are offered across the news, features, sports, and visuals departments. The program is committed to providing a learning environment, with each intern paired with an experienced mentor and access to newsroom training to expand their skills. The Snowden Internship is expected to begin in June and last 10 weeks, with a pay rate of $20/hr. Interns must make their own housing arrangements and should have a valid driver's license. Company vehicles are available for work-related travel.
