WECT is looking for a driven, creative photojournalist/videographer to join our award-winning news team. Requirements
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for storytelling
- Strong communication skills — on the phone, in the field, and in the edit bay
- Ability to thrive under deadline pressure, both solo and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Experience in news or video shooting/editing is a plus — but not required
Responsibilities
- Capture the story — Gather compelling video, conduct interviews, and collect information in the field
- Edit with purpose — Cut and package content for broadcast, digital, and social platforms
- Go live — Set up and execute live shots that put viewers at the center of breaking news
- Collaborate and lead — Work both independently in the field and as a key contributor to the news team
