GENERAL FUNCTION The Director of Revenue Strategy & Sales, Newline is a critical leadership role within the Newline leadership team. This individual is responsible for ensuring our ability to excel in our field; specifically, against our peer banks and market-leading FinTechs in the embedded payments industry. This Leader will define the overall Newline business develop strategic direction to maintain and extend our Newline market position and financial performance. This includes driving new high-quality Commercial relationships, delivering new opportunities to existing clients, and evaluating new solutions needed across all Newline products and capabilities (i.e., API Platform, Deposit Solutions, BIN Sponsorship Acquiring & Issuing, Credit capabilities). In addition, this Leader will also be held accountable for adherence to Fifth Third risk management by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. This leader is accountable for always doing the right thing for our clients and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. This leader will have responsibility for our Newline Sales and Relationship Management teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
  • Proven Executive Leadership in client engagements where clients revenues exceeding $1 Billion in revenue.
  • Proven negotiations skills.
  • Proven record of accomplishments in leading large-scale multi-phased technical projects that required delivery of hardware, software, network integration, and layered services.
  • Strong Communications and Influencing Skills with proven ability to work effectively in collaboration with groups of people and matrix management environment.
  • Able to translate client and program needs into execution and successful delivery.
  • Able to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills; basic business intuition, and common sense.
  • Commitment to quality programs and excellence in organizational and project.
  • Management with the ability to achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget.
  • Able to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong adherence to Newline's risk management policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provides executive leadership for all Newline client programs.
  • Act as primary executive contact to client's leadership and project teams.
  • Responsible for oversight and coordination of all parties in successful delivery of solutions and services.
  • Engagement in late stage sales activities including coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Negotiation of client contracts and contractual changes.
  • Ensures successful execution of initial pilots and subsequent staged rollouts with focus on ensuring client requirements and needs are met during and after deployments.
  • Identifies and proposes new opportunities to expand and grow client relationships.
  • Oversee adherence to development and execution of program plans, develop solutions to program problems, and directs work of resources assigned to program from various departments and/or partners (incl. risk management)
  • Manage prioritization of internal stakeholders (i.e., Newline teams and non-Newline teams), to ensure success of all programs.
  • Work with staff to develop systems to ensure consistent, high-quality project management, and effective tracking.
  • Develop the necessary systems, processes/tools to support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge that is generated by the delivery to all programs.
  • Provide regular updates and engagement of Fifth Third Account teams (RM's, TMO's, Executive Management, Risk Management teams) on progress and performance.
  • Support account teams in presenting performance reviews with client leadership.
  • Manages forward projection of resources needed to support scale necessary for Newline clients including staffing, system resources/availability, strategic partner delivery components.
  • Foster integration of bundled solution to support entire client value chain such as Treasury Management solutions and other banking services.
  • Ensures timely delivery / execution of any risk management activities (in accordance with Fifth Third policies).
  • Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth.
  • Develops the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning.
  • Recognizes and rewards employees for accomplishments.
