New Ventures Manager - Summer MBA Intern/Grad

HealtheeNew York, NY
Hybrid

About The Position

We are looking for an exceptional New Ventures Manager to report directly to the Head of Growth and operate as a true extension of the function. The growth team is responsible for identifying, building, and scaling new revenue streams for the company. This means creating “startups within the startup” from the ground up, taking ideas from zero to one through research, validation, MVP development, commercial traction, and early scale. Current focus areas include fraud, waste, and abuse detection, claims analytics, and innovative pricing models (e.g., bundled cash pricing for medical procedures), all aimed at solving complex administrative and operational pain points in the healthcare benefits ecosystem. This is a highly execution-oriented role with a startup founder mindset, focused on taking ambiguous ideas from zero to one and driving them to real-world outcomes and revenue. You move quickly, take ownership without waiting for direction, and are relentlessly focused on building and shipping, not just analyzing. You are a hybrid builder, operator, and seller, with strong commercial instinct and the technical fluency to work effectively with product and engineering team.

Requirements

  • MBA (student, recent graduate or graduating soon) from a top-tier program
  • 1-2 years of experience in management consulting at a top-tier firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or in product management at a high-growth startup
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with data
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive them to actionable outcomes
  • Based in NYC or willing to relocate

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working at a startup or in a high-growth environment
  • Experience in healthcare benefits, insurance, or AI-driven products
  • Strong ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and execution
  • High level of resourcefulness and ability to operate effectively with limited structure or resources
  • Experience working on 0→1 or new business initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Own initiatives end-to-end, from ideation and research through MVP development, commercialization, and go-to-market
  • Drive execution with urgency: build momentum, unblock progress, and ensure ideas translate into tangible outcomes
  • Define and test value propositions with real customers, iterating quickly toward product-market fit
  • Lead early commercialization efforts, including partner discussions, pricing exploration, and initial revenue generation
  • Identify, structure, and execute partnerships as a core growth lever
  • Manage partner relationships end-to-end, including contracting, negotiation, and ongoing performance
  • Build and track clear ROI frameworks for partnerships and external initiatives
  • Translate complex claims data into clear, client-ready narratives (e.g., executive decks) that demonstrate ROI and cost-saving opportunities
  • Analyze internal and external data to identify opportunities and guide prioritization
  • Drive alignment and push execution across Sales, Product, Design, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing
  • Translate high-level strategy into clear execution plans and coordinate teams to deliver
  • Operate effectively without formal authority, influencing stakeholders to move quickly and decisively
