Lynch Truck Center of Waterford is seeking a skilled and motivated New Truck Set-Up Technician. In this position, you are responsible for preparing new trucks for customer delivery by installing accessories, performing equipment upfits, conducting quality checks, and ensuring each vehicle meets company and customer specifications. This role combines mechanical aptitude, some electrical knowledge, and attention to detail to deliver safe, reliable, and fully configured vehicles. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Install vehicle accessories such as toolboxes, ladder racks, lighting, hitches, bed liners, and safety equipment
- Perform electrical wiring for lighting, power inverters, backup cameras, and other add-on systems
- Mount and secure equipment including racking, liftgates, and service bodies
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections to verify proper installation, functionality, and safety compliance
- Diagnose and correct installation issues or equipment malfunctions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and installation procedures
- Follow all safety protocols, shop procedures, and manufacturer guidelines
- Collaborate with service advisors, sales teams, and other technicians to meet deadlines and customer expectations
