  • Partner with R&D, Product Development, and Industrial Design to translate consumer needs, dermatological insights, and intended-use requirements into clear, measurable quality and reliability specifications.
  • Establish and drive risk management activities (e.g., design FMEAs, hazard analyses, human factors evaluations) to proactively identify and mitigate safety or usability concerns.
  • Oversee safety assessments and biocompatibility requirements for skin-contact materials or components; coordinate internal and external testing as needed.
  • Partner with Clinical/Scientific Affairs to ensure robust claims substantiation for skincare efficacy, device performance, and user-perceived benefits.
  • Evaluate product design changes for impact on safety, performance, compliance, and claims validity.
  • Define and execute test plans that assess reliability, environmental durability, performance repeatability, skincare-use conditions, and consumer misuse scenarios.
  • Collaborate with internal labs and third-party testing partners to ensure protocols reflect skincare-specific risks (e.g., heat, light, vibration, cleansing agents, wet environments).
  • Lead the development of validation strategies (e.g., DV/PV test plans) that ensure consumer-ready quality at launch.
  • Act as the quality representative in cross-functional program teams, providing guidance on requirements, risk, testing readiness, and quality gate approvals.
