We are searching for compassionate and energetic individuals to join our team! We are seeking a Full-time New Patient Coordinator for our Greensboro office . The ideal candidate has at least 1 year experience in a medical office with knowledge of medical terminology. Must be able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment with a high volume of referrals and appointment requests daily. Must have the ability to read through notes and extract pertinent information to apply scheduling criteria. The qualified candidate will have an enthusiastic can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and give input. Handles a high-volume of appointment calls for multiple providers in a timely, courteous manner. Works as a liaison between the patient and clinical staff to ensure proper scheduling of appointments. Interacts with patients, referring physicians and hospital staff by phone, fax and email. Schedules appointments electronically utilizing a patient portal system for Neurosurgeons and Physiatrists. Monitors all schedules for accuracy and gaps. Maintains a general knowledge of diagnoses specific to neurosurgery and insurance plans. Ability to multi-task while working as a team to handle last minute changes that may occur to the providers' schedules. Other duties as assigned by changing needs, patient flow, or physician request.
