About Base Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time. About the Role We are looking for someone to accelerate our growth through new business opportunities. To date, we’ve scaled through direct-to-consumer and a B2B2C partnership model with homebuilders. We believe there are additional channels and products that can meaningfully fuel our long-term growth, and we’re looking for someone to lead the charge on identifying, assessing, and leading commercial efforts in those new opportunities. In this role, you’ll own the full stack of assessing, designing, testing, and launching new opportunities. You’ll drive external business development, collaborate closely with Deployments, Growth, Software, and Hardware teams, and take responsibility for the detailed planning and execution needed to bring new opportunities to life.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial instincts and experience structuring win-win partnerships.
  • Consumer sales intuition and ability to empathize with our members’ needs.
  • Experience standing up and leading large initiatives with external partners in a high-growth setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Comfort with data-driven decision making and willingness to “get hands dirty” with modern tools (e.g., SQL).

Responsibilities

  • Explore, research, and build a case for which growth channels and products Base should pursue next.
  • Engage potential partners to design and negotiate partnerships that deliver value to Base, our partners, and our members.
  • Build scalable internal systems and processes to support new channels.
  • Lead the commercial and operational details of testing and rolling out new initiatives.
