About The Position

International Paper's Lynchburg Container Plant is a manufacturer of corrugated packaging. This position will assist operators in processing corrugated sheets according to written specifications/diagrams and prepare product for the next operation. You will abide by safe working practices and policies, work safely, and wear necessary personal protective equipment. You will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment test, drug screen, health assessment and background check.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience
• Ability to work first shift (7am-3pm), second shift (3pm -11pm) or third shift (11pm - 7am) with overtime. Shift will be determined based on business needs.
• Ability to work cooperatively with peers and supervisors, a good attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability to lift and mount print plates, cutting dies and ink buckets weighing up to approximately 50 pounds. Must be able to safely use wrenches for setting pull collars and slotting/scoring heads.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with no air conditioning or heat.
• Ability to work with constant standing, walking and reaching at or below shoulder level, frequent twisting, bending and lifting from the ground, repetitive lifting up to 20-50 pounds.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to extract and input data via computer and perform and record accurate reading of measurements.
