Marymount Hospital's 3 East/3 West Neurology, Medical/Surgical and Telemetry Unit provides top quality care to patients with medical problems such as stroke, seizures, heart failure, COPD, renal failure and cardia arrhythmias. This unit is known for their exceptional assessment skills, nurturing and welcoming environment, and strong sense of teamwork. As a PRN Patient Care Nurse Assistant (PCNA), your primary duties will include providing or assisting with basic patient care under the supervision of an RN, reporting abnormal findings and changes in patients' condition and keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.

- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients' medical records.
