As an RN Resident on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off while also participating in a residency core curriculum based on your individual learning needs. Working alongside a coach, you will provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. Units and specialty areas dedicated to this department: Cole Eye OR PACU-Adult Thoracic Surgery DDSI/HPB LIVER Arterial Vascular/Vascular Surgery OR Nights and Weekends M81 Short Stay OR Peds Surgery OR Neuro Institute OR Cardiac OR Plastic OR General or OR Colorectal A caregiver in this role will work a day/night rotation from 7am - 7:30pm OR 7pm - 7:30am.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within six months of hire
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
You will be required to comply with this program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.

Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Perform scrub and circulating functions.
Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off while also participating in a residency core curriculum based on your individual learning needs.
