Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation has a family-centered pediatric inpatient rehabilitation program that is dedicated to providing care and rehabilitation to patients ranging from infancy to age 21 who require hospitalization or acute rehabilitation. This team's care centers around patients with traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy surgery patients, spinal cord injuries, orthopaedic rehabilitation needs, spinal fusions and traction, complex injuries, neurologic disorders requiring rehabilitation, and burns. This is the ideal role for an individual who is passionate about pediatrics, puts their patients first, provides care with compassion, empathy and patience, and who thrives in a collaborative team environment. A caregiver in this role works day/night rotations from 7:00am - 7:30pm or 7:00pm - 7:30am. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs. Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability). Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk. Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently. Document in patients' medical records.
