As a New Grad RN Resident in these specialized units, you will play a vital role in promoting positive patient outcomes by utilizing innovative, evidence-based technologies and best practices. You will foster meaningful connections with patients, families, and visitors, enhancing their care experience through compassionate education, advocacy, and support. Below are the units where our New Grad RN Residents will make a meaningful impact. Our Critical Care Units Include: Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery Intensive Care Units - J54, J55, J56, J64, J65, J66 and Q5 Coronary Intensive Care Unit – J31 Heart Failure Intensive Care Unit - J32

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
• Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
