The Ahuja Medical Center Intensive Care Unit is a 14 bed unit that cares for high acuity patients with a 1:1 or 1:2 Nurse to Patient ratio. This unit utilizes intervention for their care of patients such as VATS, ECMO, IMPELLA, Arctic Sun, and Balloon Pumps. Patient populations for this unit may include those who require cardiothoracic surgery, Ablations and Wedge Resections, and patients who have had STEMI’S, CVA’s requiring TPA, and all other medically unstable patients requiring intensive monitoring for positive outcomes.
