About The Position

Under the direction of the Emergency Department director, manager and charge nurses, this position encompasses the provision and management of emergency patient care through implementation of the nursing process, delegation to and supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.

Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Able to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing, prioritizing, delegating patient care, and completing work assignments as well as other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate knowledge of common disease processes, treatment modalities and interventions.
• Above average computer skills.
• Current active California Registered Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS or ENPC certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification prior to completing department orientation and Workplace Violence AB508/SB1299 Training within 4-months of hire / transfer into the Emergency Department (Once certified, the employee must re-certify the following year, and then bi-annually).
