About The Position

Our AMSU is comprised of 20 acute medical-surgical beds with mobile telemetry capabilities. We are soon progressing to incorporate Masimo monitoring devices that offer heart rate and SpO2 monitoring that will add high-quality technology monitoring for each patient. We care for Acute GI, Respiratory, TIA/Mild Stroke, Cardiovascular, Urology, Endocrinology, Wound, Hospice, and post-op patients that include observation, extended recovery and acute level of care. Our patients are managed by our Hospitalist Team, Inpatient Pharmacy, SW/TCC, R/T, PT/OT/SLT, RNs, and PCNA/CAAs that work together and offer an inter-disciplinary approach to patient care. The Medical/Surgical unit at UH Samaritan Medical Center is great place to begin or continue your career! This unit provides supportive learning environments where you can build and enhance your clinical skills while treating a variety of diagnoses. Requirements

  • Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
  • An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
  • Note: Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
