About The Position

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all . Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. As part of the NAND Design Engineering organization at Micron, this team advances NAND component chip design by integrating AI and data‑driven techniques into established engineering practices. The group operates at the intersection of design, verification, CAD, and product engineering to enhance design workflows while maintaining strong engineering rigor. The Design AI Engineer is responsible for embedding AI capabilities into NAND digital design, verification, and validation flows to improve design closure speed, quality, and insight into circuit behavior and silicon results. This role applies AI and machine learning methods alongside traditional design practices to support correctness, performance, and productivity across the NAND design lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Ability to apply AI/ML and data‑driven techniques to NAND digital circuit design, verification, and analysis
  • Experience interpreting device, circuit, and system-level specifications in a digital design context
  • Experience supporting RTL, gate-level verification, and design debug using analytical or data-driven methods
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with design, verification, CAD, and product engineering teams and communicate technical insights clearly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing AI‑assisted methodologies for design rule checking, RTL exploration, or verification analysis
  • Experience applying AI techniques to post‑layout simulation analysis or performance anomaly detection
  • Experience analyzing silicon data and correlating measured results with simulation and design intent

Responsibilities

  • Apply AI and machine learning techniques to support NAND digital circuit design, verification, and analysis within established design workflows
  • Interpret device, circuit, and system‑level specifications to identify opportunities for AI‑driven improvements in design correctness, performance, and efficiency
  • Develop AI‑assisted approaches for design rule interpretation, RTL and architecture exploration, verification coverage analysis, bug pattern detection, and regression triage
  • Support RTL, gate-level verification, netlist bring‑up, and debug using data-driven methods to identify failure trends, corner cases, and root causes
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to analyze silicon data by correlating design intent, simulation results, and measured silicon behavior, and document AI-based insights and protocols
