About The Position

New Car Director – Capitol Chevrolet (Austin, TX) Capitol Chevrolet is seeking a New Car Director with Proven Chevrolet experience and a track record of driving sales performance. This leader will own the new-car sales floor, develop a high-energy culture , and execute the processes that consistently hit and exceed monthly objectives. What You’ll Do Lead, train, and motivate the New-Car Sales Team daily to maximize performance, appointments, and closing ratios Execute strong floor management: presence on the tower, coaching during live deals, supporting touch-to-touch follow-up Hit the mark: drive toward monthly unit and SFE and Gross objectives Recruit, onboard, and develop high-potential salespeople into consistent producers Partner with the GM and GSM to build traffic, increase showroom engagement, and grow market share Maintain a high-energy culture on the floor — urgency, accountability, and customer obsession Ensure customer experience excellence from greet to delivery, maintaining top CSI expectations Work hand-in-hand with Finance, BDC, and Used teams to maximize total store success What We’re Looking For Chevrolet dealership experience REQUIRED (New-Car leadership preferred) Minimum 10 years automotive retail leadership experience (Sales Manager, Finance Manager and General Sales Manager) Demonstrated ability to grow volume and gross while leading people Strong communication, coaching, and accountability style — visible and active on the floor High energy, competitive drive, and dealership presence — leading by example Familiar with lead process, CRM accountability, appointment culture and follow-up standards Customer-first mindset with integrity and professionalism Why Capitol Chevrolet Community-driven, high-volume Chevrolet store in the heart of Austin Strong leadership support and autonomy to build your culture & your results Opportunity to grow market share in the fastest-growing city in Texas Competitive compensation plan aligned with performance & store success Compensation & Schedule Base + aggressive performance structure Health, dental, vision, 401k Full-time | Must be available to work weekends & peak retail days Ready to Lead? Requirements

  • Chevrolet dealership experience REQUIRED (New-Car leadership preferred)
