Requirements

  • Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in business development and partnerships
  • Understands semiconductor technical and business environments
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Demonstrates ability to work across multiple Business Units, Centers of Excellence, and functions within Applied Materials
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
  • Advanced technical/scientific degree and MBA, or equivalent.
  • 4 - 7 Years, with semiconductor industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Semiconductor Equipment, Process, Yield Analysis, Data Science, Simulation, Digital Twin, and AI Machine learning applications preferred
  • Comfortable working with data tools and software development teams; experience with digital initiatives a plus.
  • Self-motivated individual who can drive progress towards broad objectives without close supervision
  • Previous experience in partnering and/or corporate development roles

Responsibilities

  • Work with Semiconductor Products Group's business units to identify and develop new business opportunities enabled through external partnerships and inorganic options
  • Guide BUs through New Business Development processes including approvals, negotiation, governance, legal documentation and program management
  • Manage key relationships with external strategic partners, which may include large commercial companies, suppliers, start-ups, universities, R&D organizations and governmental entities
  • Develop and maintain partnership with key stakeholders across the BUs and functional groups
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, training and documentation of tools and technology to facilitate effective management of strategic NBD programs
  • Define the methods and analytical techniques that are used for critical business functions on an internal/external basis to support worldwide business development.
  • Understand the competitive influences affecting the business.
  • Support other SPG partnership programs as needed
