Program Summary The Community Health and Wellness sector provides services that support the physical, behavioral, and emotional health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. In additional to serving refugee and immigrant communities long established in Oregon, we welcome new arrivals, support them with housing, navigating local resources and connecting with their new communities. Our staff are certified Traditional Health Workers (such as Community Health Workers (CHW), Peer Support Specialists (PSS) and Doulas) who offer direct services such as healthcare and systems navigation, health insurance enrollment, emotional health support and client-directed case management. We also engage in community outreach and education via community workshops, psycho-education support groups, and by hosting monthly health clinics that provide dental services, health services, and community resource information. Position Summary The New Arrival Case Manager position will be responsible for providing essential case management support to new arrival individuals and families so that they can adjust to a new life in the U.S. The Case Manager will provide a listening, supportive presence to IRCO clients, help them navigate community resources, advocate on their behalf with service providers as needed and connect clients with community to support, establish, and maintain self-sufficiency in their own lives. The Case Manager will engage in outreach and community engagement to ensure communities and clients have knowledge of and access to our programs. Reporting to IRCO’s New Arrival Coordinator, this position will be based in one of IRCO’s offices to provide community specific services.
