About The Position

The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Florida (Jacksonville, FL) is seeking 3 highly qualified neuroradiologists to complement their existing Emergency and Hospital division. This role involves providing overnight teleradiology coverage for Diagnostic General Radiology with final interpretation of all inpatient and ED examinations, primarily CT, US, X-ray, and MRI exams. The emergency department handles acute and urgent clinical disease presentations and supports an advanced subspecialty hospital practice with extensive stroke, oncological, and organ transplant emphasis. Mayo Clinic Florida is a DNV-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center. The schedule is 7 days on and 14 days off, with 9-hour overnight shifts from Monday to Sunday (FL /Eastern Standard Time), in conjunction with an existing member of the EHR division. Qualified candidates can work remotely from any of the continental United States. The Department consists of over 90 radiologists, 6 physicists, 30 residents and fellows, with approved training program expansion. The Florida campus is undergoing substantial growth and expansion, including a 40% increase in hospital size and the installation of North America's first carbon ion therapy facility.

Requirements

Fellowship level training in neuroradiology
Strong general radiology skills, as interpretations of body, thoracic, and musculoskeletal exams will be required
Active desire to be engaged in the education of residents and fellows
Able to work remotely in any of the continental United States

Responsibilities

Providing overnight teleradiology coverage for Diagnostic General Radiology
Final interpretation of all inpatient and ED examinations, comprised predominately of CT, US, X-ray, and MRI exams
Over-reading and providing instructive feedback to residents performing on call overnight shifts (typically 1 trainee per shift)
