About The Position

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist to join a multi-specialty practice located in Bronx, New York. The role involves diagnosing complex medical problems, counseling patients on neurological disorders, and ordering and interpreting various neurological tests and neuroimaging studies. The Neurologist will be responsible for prescribing and administering treatment and medication, monitoring their behavioral and cognitive side effects, and ordering supportive care services. Participation in neuroscience research activities and liaison with medical professionals in the community and hospitals are also expected. The position requires staying up-to-date with neurological developments, treatments, and medication. Specialized treatments such as sleep disorders, neuroimmunology, neuro-oncology, behavioral neurology, and neurogenetics are part of the role, as well as performing and interpreting lumbar punctures, electroencephalography, electromyography, and nerve conduction velocity tests. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex medical problems by referring to a patient’s history, examining them, and conducting neurological tests.
  • Counsel patients on neurological disorders and their backgrounds.
  • Order neurological tests and interpret the results of neuroimaging studies.
  • Prescribe and/or administer treatment and medication.
  • Monitor the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication.
  • Order supportive care services for patients.
  • Participate in neuroscience research activities.
  • Liaise with medical professionals in the community and hospitals.
  • Keep up-to-date with neurological developments, treatments, and medication.
