Requirements

  • Unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Ohio, or ability to obtain
  • Board Certified in Neurology as a M.D. or D.O.
  • DEA license for Ohio, or willing to obtain prior to start
  • Light rounding at hospital
  • Maintenance of privileges with no hospital restrictions where procedures will be performed

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in Neurology
  • Experience working within a team-based model of care (collaborative)
  • Fluency and adaptability in EMR systems & technology
  • Experience in Neuro, Sleep Medicine, and/or Movement Disorders, etc.
  • Comfortability making decisions, creating care plans, and designating responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient neurology (with minimal call and light rounding)
  • Orders lab studies and imaging when indicated
  • Identifies differential diagnosis and assesses severity of patient’s illness and establishes need/time for patient evaluation
  • Consults with other health team members regarding proposed treatment guidelines as necessary
  • Implements plan in safe and effective manner
  • Utilizes sound judgment in the establishment of priorities in patient’s care and management
  • Records visit in concise, clear, logical manner
  • Evaluates effectiveness of implemented plan
