Requirements

Unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Ohio, or ability to obtain
Board Certified in Neurology as a M.D. or D.O.
DEA license for Ohio, or willing to obtain prior to start
Light rounding at hospital
Maintenance of privileges with no hospital restrictions where procedures will be performed

Nice To Haves

At least 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably in Neurology
Experience working within a team-based model of care (collaborative)
Fluency and adaptability in EMR systems & technology
Experience in Neuro, Sleep Medicine, and/or Movement Disorders, etc.
Comfortability making decisions, creating care plans, and designating responsibilities

Responsibilities

Outpatient neurology (with minimal call and light rounding)
Orders lab studies and imaging when indicated
Identifies differential diagnosis and assesses severity of patient’s illness and establishes need/time for patient evaluation
Consults with other health team members regarding proposed treatment guidelines as necessary
Implements plan in safe and effective manner
Utilizes sound judgment in the establishment of priorities in patient’s care and management
Records visit in concise, clear, logical manner
Evaluates effectiveness of implemented plan
