About The Position
• Specialty: Neurohospitalist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: San Antonio, TX • Service Setting: Inpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: Apr 10,2026 - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Shift Schedule: TBD; 15 shifts per month - Rotates 7-8 days w/ other neurohosp • Call Schedule: Nights & 24-hr calls - Split for the month • Call Type: Beeper • Call Response Time: 30 mins • Call Coverage: Telestroke call & General Neurology (non stroke/tpa services) • Patient Volume: 15 per day - 4-5 per day Neurology consults; 4-5 per day Telestroke. • Support Staff: 1 NP/PA • Required Procedures: EEG reading and interpretation & continuous EEG Comfort with acute stroke management. • Equipment: EEG and continuous EEG Comprehensive Stroke Center (DNV) • EMR: Cerner • Temporary Privileges available: Yes • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
