About The Position

FULL TIME-DAYS Schedule Hours are 10-hour shifts from 6:00 am to 4:30pm on Monday through Wednesday and Friday, About Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty. Scope of Work Under the direction of the designated site leader, provides coordination, and acts as a resource for staff involved in general neurodiagnostic services. Assigns and monitors the quality and quantity of workflow to ensure timely completion of studies. Ensure that ordered neurodiagnostic procedures are performed according to departmental policies and procedural standards. The lead technician must have passed the examination by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) and proven competencies to obtain a credential in a minimum of (2) registries and/or certifications in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.), Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM), and (CLTM or R. EP T.), Evoked Potential (R. EP T.), or Magnetoencephalography (CMEG). The lead technician must have a minimum of five years' experience in performing electroencephalography and provides neurodiagnostic tests for results and a descriptive analysis according to facility and policy and procedures. Strong well-developed communication skills are essential for this position. Performs neurodiagnostic procedures and other related duties as necessary, including student clinical instruction and new employee training as appropriate. In the absence of the designated site leader, functions as the department representative, and adheres to the Corewell philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent Required.
  • Graduation from Electroneurodiagnostic program Required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience Required
  • Clinical Training in Large hospitals with various specialties including Neurology, Pediatrics, ICU, and CCU.
  • Basic Life support required through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • CRT-Electroencephalographic Technologist, registered (R.EEG.T) – ABRET (American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist) Upon Hire Required
  • CRT-Long Term Monitoring Technologist, Certified (CLTM) – ABRET (American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist Upon Hire Required
  • CRT-Evoked Potential Technologist, registered (R.EP. T) – ABRET (American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist) Upon Hire Required
  • Or CRT-Credentialed Magnetoencephalography (MEG) – ABRET (American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologist) Upon Hire Required
