Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a certified END (Electroneurodiagnostic) program required.
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of EEG testing, including long-term monitoring; Neuro ICU experience required.
  • ABRET board certified or registry-eligible preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hospital-based experience performing routine and complex EEG studies.
  • Comfortable working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG and evoked potential studies in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.
  • Identify and recognize ictal and interictal electrographic patterns across a wide range of clinical cases.
  • Respond confidently to clinical seizures and other medical emergencies, working alongside physicians, residents, and nursing staff.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by clearly explaining what to expect, positioning them comfortably, and supporting them throughout the study.
  • Conduct studies at the bedside or in alternate care settings using mobile EEG equipment as needed.
  • Maintain EEG equipment and supplies to ensure accurate results, patient safety, and high-quality data.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team and contribute to a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement.
