About The Position

The EEG Technician performs basic neurodiagnostic testing across Hoag locations assessing the functional integrity of the peripheral and/or central nervous system. Neurodiagnostic tests include electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potential and nerve conduction responses with demonstration of competency in neurological diagnostic testing with neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patient age groups. The EEG Technician obtains patient identification and medical history, preps patient and conducts neurodiagnostic tests, monitors patient during procedure, and prepares readings for interpretation by a physician. Edits and archives long term monitoring data and participates in the continuous quality improvement process. Performs other duties as assigned. This position takes call and may require travel between various Hoag locations. Call requires that the EEG Technician responds within 15 minutes, provides services off-site as needed and is available to provide services on-site as needed within 1 hour.
