About The Position

Has a detailed working knowledge of department functions and is responsible for completing work assignments in the sterile process department. Responsible for neuro instrumentation in decontamination, assembly and procedure case carts, will be available to do other tasks in the department as needed or directed by SPD managers/charge person. Neuro instrumentation will be defined as hospital owned, consignment and loaners.

Requirements

• Graduate from School of Surgical Technology OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Ability to organize instrument sets
• Able to pass a written proficiency review.
• Organized and self-motivated with an attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• CRCST or CBSPD (Required if no Surgical Technology Degree)
