About The Position

Delaware Nation Industries is providing 24x7 Network Support for the Indian Health Service (IHS) agency, delivering healthcare through several hundred facilities to our Native American communities across the nation from Las Vegas, Nevada. This position is a remote or local (Las Vegas NV) night-shift role, typically working a fixed schedule including (4) 10-hour shifts with (3) days off. Monitoring & Operations Must be customer-oriented – Will answer phone calls and triage emails from event management systems and assisting customers requiring service desk level support. Additional responsibilities include contacting telecom providers, arranging troubleshooting activities and documenting the work performed to restore services as quickly as possible. Support & perform network router or wireless environments at the tier-1 level, assisting with maintenance and troubleshooting of IHS networks. Candidate will demonstrate a high level of detail in documenting and resolving incidents and basic troubleshooting of network communications/infrastructures issues involving a variety of hardware/software and different protocols and platforms. Tracking tasks using tools including ServiceNow for ticketing. Some exposure to network monitoring tools and methods employed to diagnose network issues are preferred. Communicates with the customer regarding network issues/problems/solutions and leads/participates in numerous network engineering/customer/user teleconferences. Will support network projects and conduct QA on network inventory as needed to ensure accuracy of the information maintained by the network operations team. Routing /Switching / Wireless Baseline knowledge of routing protocols including limited experience accessing & configuring routers to support: OSPF, BGP and Layer-2 technologies on IOS XE as well as IPSec tunnel support. General engineering WAN, LAN & Wireless support will be provided for Cisco, Palo Alto and Aruba products. General understanding of enterprise wireless standards is helpful in this position. Telecommunications Candidate should understand basic WAN circuit types including both Serial & Ethernet for Router interface support. Provides support for circuit incident management through close coordination with Verizon and other vendors as required. Should understand supporting wireless technology for remote sites. Process & Documentation ITIL Framework knowledge and/or certification is preferred. Directly contributes to organizational objectives to meet SLA’s. Develops documentation of supported processes related to supporting the IHS agency including updating service design documents and site topologies. Requirements
