About this role: As an Assistant for Network Operations (Hybrid Ethernet Scheduler OSP/ISP) in the Centralized Operations Center, you will be responsible for coordinating activities and resolving roadblocks to successfully complete Outside Plant and Central Office projects specific to our Ethernet/Circuit related projects. These activities will include interacting with various teams and systems to ensure permits, material, and resources are available to complete a project on time. You will also be responsible for ensuring data and reporting accuracy

Requirements

  • 3+ years or more of experience in Engineering, Construction, Operations, or related department
  • 3+ years or more of proven project management and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to interact and influence effectively with executives and team members
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to audiences of varying technical expertise
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Infinium, M6, and Sitetracker

Responsibilities

  • Review scope of project to determine what permit(s), material, and resources/teams are required
  • Prepare for and host/participate in team calls to provide statuses and assist in identifying, escalating, and resolving roadblocks, e.g. lack of resources or material, etc.
  • Work with the Material Control Center and vendors to provide material statuses, escalating as needed. You will also callout and ensure timely delivery of needed material
  • Track associated circuits to ensure timeline completion and escalate as needed
  • Provide support for Construction/COE Team and/or Contractors - managing schedules, documentation, and system updates
