About The Position

Manage and maintain servers, networks, and internal systems to support daily operations. Provide hands-on technical support to staff across multiple office locations. Ensure the reliable operation of hardware, software, and communication systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and VoIP systems. Oversee backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity processes. Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols. Supervise a small team of IT technicians and coordinate with external vendors. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Assist in strategic planning for IT upgrades, expansions, and cybersecurity initiatives. Maintain system security, including anti-virus, firewalls, and regular patching. Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer data protection requirements. Conduct regular assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Windows-based systems, networking, and server administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and VoIP systems.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities with a customer-service mindset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the telecommunications or communications industry.
  • Familiarity with rural broadband technologies or small ISP environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
