About The Position

The Network IT Manager provides essential leadership and operational support for information technology infrastructure across the Colorado Early Colleges Network. This role combines project management, helpdesk coordination, remote technical support, and cybersecurity oversight to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology systems for staff and students. The Manager oversees the work of two Systems Administrators, manages IT projects, maintains hardware and software inventory, and delivers responsive support to campus teams- helping advance CEC’s vision for a technology-enabled learning environment.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, systems administration, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience managing IT projects and supporting helpdesk operations in a multi-site environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills
  • Ability to provide effective remote support and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
  • Passion for using technology to support teaching, learning, and operational efficiency

  • Experience in K-12 or higher education settings is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize IT projects, including coordinating the efforts of the two Systems Administrators to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Provide day-to-day helpdesk support and troubleshooting for network, staff, and campus technology issues.
  • Deliver remote technical support to campus staff and administrators across the network.
  • Oversee cybersecurity practices, including monitoring threats, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with best practices and policies.
  • Maintain accurate network-wide inventory of hardware, software, platforms, and licenses for staff and student use.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of new technology platforms and tools aligned with instructional and operational needs.
  • Develop and deliver training and documentation to campus staff on IT systems, tools, and security protocols.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between campuses, central IT resources, and vendors for technical support and issue resolution.
  • Monitor system performance, track helpdesk tickets, and identify opportunities to improve reliability and user experience.
  • Gather feedback from campuses and collaborate with the Executive Director of Educational Services to continuously enhance network IT support and infrastructure.
