About The Position
HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Network Engineer to work on a team executing integration efforts on the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV. This position is part of a team that provides on-site M&S support to establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC; Provide mission execution and support to broad range of JITTC-N simulator activities and Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). The Modeling and Simulation Network Engineer will be part of a larger team that addresses overarching systems administration, networking, Information Technology support for a robust integration effort supporting the integration of multiple complex JSE based JITTC-N simulators and advanced JSE Battlespace enclaves with various security levels up to TS and beyond.
Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Must have a current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification - https://public.cyber.mil/wid/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/
- Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to support customer requirements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related field.
- Previous DoD simulation Networking experience.
- RMF knowledge of DISA process.
- Previous experience with JSE and/or Modeling and Simulation network systems.
- Strong Network Engineering background.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft domain controllers, Virtual Machines (VM), VMWARE, ACAS scanning, STIG compliance and layer 2 and 3 network devices (switches and routers).
Responsibilities
- Designing and planning network systems.
- Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
- Providing specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- Conducting testing of network systems.
- Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
- Evaluating and reporting on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
