About The Position

We are seeking a Network Engineer responsible for configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a critical operational network. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working under the guidance of a senior network engineer. The role provides an engineering resource to support data communications and related applications requirements, and administrative support of installed systems/networks. The Network Engineer is responsible for planning and implementing the necessary hardware, software and telecommunications equipment to maintain and/or enhance the organization’s networks. They will also evaluate vendor products, recommend purchases, and recommend and implement network policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to security procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in computer science or information technology, 10+ years of experience
Master’s in computer science or information technology, 5+ years of experience
Must currently possess a TS/SCI w/CI polygraph

Multi-chassis groups - Multi-Link Aggregation Domain or Switch Aggregation Groups

Responsibilities

Assist in installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance of network equipment (switches, firewalls, and load balancers)
Monitor network performance and troubleshooting
Document network configurations and diagrams
Provide technical support to system operators
Assist in implementing STIG compliance
