The Network Engineer designs, implements, and maintains network technologies including enterprise VolP, telecommunications, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless platforms. The role works closely with the Sr. Network Engineer to provide detailed network designs, implementation plans, migration/rollback strategies, and disaster recovery plans. The Network Engineer also works closely with internal staff, business units, and vendors to ensure stability and availability of the network infrastructure and network capacity. As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be: (30%) Designing and implementing network devices and applications (core network and branch networks routers and switches), Wireless networks, data circuit and telecommunications, cable management, corporate VoIP, data center DMZ's, enterprise network management and reporting tools, and other supporting network technologies. (30%) Assisting and supporting the on-going development of enterprise IT network management and strategies including all LAN/WAN devices, network modifications and upgrades, enterprise network monitoring/alerting, network uptime and usage statistics/reporting, incident response, and assisting or leading the planning, execution, and project management role of small-medium size IT based projects. (20%) Identifying, assessing, and mitigating network impacts to the organization. (20%) Integrating network management, support, and requirements into the Systems/Network production implementation certification processes.
