About The Position

Network Engineer Position Location: Tampa, FL Onsite: Full Time (occasional Telework) ReMilNet, LLC is seeking a qualified Network Engineer to support a Special Operations Communications Systems program. This program supports deployable satellite communications and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems and information/data exchanges between headquarters, their subordinate units, and other government agencies and activities associated with Special Operations Forces. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, test, and delivery of deployable secure IP network based wideband communications systems, developing technical data package and test plans, assisting the identification and resolution of technical issues, building and testing virtual machines, and the ability to work independently and in team settings in support of program milestone and delivery timelines. This position requires a motivated, team player with a detail driven personality that works well supporting a diverse staff across multiple functional areas and locations. This position works closely with program and contractor staff with backgrounds that include engineering, development, integrators, cybersecurity, installers, and staff at supported locations. Individuals must be proactive, and be able to collaborate, present, and disseminate technical and non-technical information to peers, customers, and external agencies as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 12 years experience in design, development, test, and lead/supervisory roles in electrical and electronic equipment, to include technology analysis, technology design, systems specification development, systems analysis, systems architecture, systems and equipment integration, test and evaluation, and logistics support of C5ISR efforts or similarly mapped efforts.
  • Minimum of five (5) years specific experience in support of SATCOM equipment, technologies, and networks.
  • Minimum Secret Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical analysis to develop requirements, material solution design, and system testing of new and existing hardware and software systems.
  • Develop technical documents that include: Technical Data Packages, Test Plans, Network Diagrams,
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and equipment with leadership, field service representatives, and technical staff in support of hardware and software systems, hardware obsolescence, and software updates.
  • Identify and recommend remediation strategies in support of milestone and program deliverable schedules.
  • Coordinate, manage, and support IPT and Working Group meetings and support technical documentation/system reviews.
  • Assist with the identification of program efficiencies, conducting research, developing courses of action, and tracking areas of improvement as identified.
  • Provide general programmatic support such as meeting participation, taking meeting minutes, tracking action items, updating briefing slides, and providing program updates and recommendations.
  • Provide other program support as identified.
