MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Diplomatic Security Service at the Department of State. You will play a crucial role in installing, operating, and maintaining network infrastructure. ● Support the network architecture running crucial analytic applications. ● Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes. ● Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of various network appliances and infrastructure hardware for ensuring system availability and reliability. ● Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software associated operating systems. ● Analyzes and implements DOS Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure the security of the network architecture. ● Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements. ● Provides input on new or existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to network administration. ● Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams. The Network Engineer Senior must have: ● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science ● Experience: 5+ years of related experience ● Technical skills: Cisco, IPSec Tunnels, Network Engineering, Network Security ● Security clearance level: Possess and maintain a Secret clearance ● US citizenship required ● Role requirements: On site
